This notice, provided pursuant to Article 13 of Law No. 124/2024 “On the Protection of Personal Data”, as amended, of the Republic of Albania, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679, also known as the “General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”, as well as Law No. 98 of 1989 concerning the “Ratification and enforcement of Convention No. 108 on the protection of individuals with regard to automatic processing of personal data, adopted in Strasbourg on 28 January 1981” and its subsequent amending Protocol, describes the purposes and methods of use and management of the personal data of users visiting and interacting with the website www.bega-partners.com, hereinafter also referred to as the “User”.

1. DATA CONTROLLER 

Attorney Elton Bega, with an office in Tirana (Albania), Rruga e Durrësit, Building No. 192, is the Data Controller of the User’s personal data.

2. PERSONAL DATA SUBJECT TO PROCESSING 

Attorney Elton Bega may process the following personal data of the User: 

  1. Data voluntarily provided by the User (e.g. name, surname, email address), submitted through information requests, contact forms, or newsletter subscription requests.
  2. Browsing data, automatically acquired by the IT systems and software procedures used to operate the website. These systems automatically collect some information from the User’s browser during use of the site, transmitted implicitly through Internet communication protocols, including via cookies (see section 9 of this policy). This information could, through association and processing with data held by third parties, potentially allow identification of the User’s browser (e.g. IP address, domain names of the User’s device). This data is used solely for statistical purposes and to ensure the website functions properly.

3. PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING

The personal data voluntarily provided by the User (as per section 2.a) will be processed solely to provide the specific service requested by the User; thus, no further consent is required.

If further data processing is necessary, or if the processing changes in ways that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time of the initial consent, the Data Controller will request renewed consent from the User.

In such cases, refusal to provide new consent may result in the inability to provide the requested service.

Browsing data (as per section 2.b) will be processed to ensure proper website operation; therefore, no explicit consent from the User is required.

4. METHOD OF PROCESSING

The processing of User personal data will take place at the Data Controller’s office and any other location where the parties involved in the processing are located.

Personal data voluntarily provided by the User (section 2.a) will be processed by the Data Controller and any authorized individuals (e.g. consultants, collaborators, third-party service providers including IT and hosting providers); if appointed, these individuals will act as Data Processors on behalf of the Data Controller. Processing will be carried out using IT, electronic, and/or paper-based tools, with appropriate security measures in place to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction.

Browsing data (section 2.b) will also be processed by the Data Controller and authorized third parties (e.g. technical/IT service providers and hosting providers), under the same security standards.

5. RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA 

For the purposes outlined in this notice, personal data may be shared with recipients based in Italy or abroad. 

In the case of foreign recipients, data will only be shared with those subject to the jurisdiction of a country within the European Union or a member of the Council of Europe.

Please note that due to the nature of the services provided, data may be shared with recipients based in Albania, a member of the Council of Europe.

6. DURATION OF DATA PROCESSING 

Personal data will be processed for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected or in accordance with legal deadlines.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

As a data subject, the User has the right to exercise the rights provided under Articles 12–20 of Albanian Law No. 9887 of 10/03/2008 “On the Protection of Personal Data”, as amended, and Articles 15–22 of EU Regulation 2016/679, including: 

  • Access to personal data;
  • Confirmation of whether or not such data exists and the right to know its content and origin;
  • Rectification, updating, or deletion;
  • Objection to processing or request for restriction;
  • Data portability;
  • Withdrawal of consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on prior consent).

The User also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

8. EXTERNAL LINKS

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, provided for the User’s convenience.

The Data Controller has no control over the content or personal data processing practices of third-party websites and cannot be held responsible for such practices.

9. COOKIE POLICY

What are cookies? Cookies are small text files that websites visited by users send to their devices, where they are stored and then sent back during future visits.

There are technical cookies, necessary for the operation of the site (e.g., cookies that store the User’s language preferences to enhance the browsing experience), and profiling cookies, which are used to create user profiles for targeted advertising.

This Website uses only technical cookies to ensure its proper functioning and enhance the browsing experience. It does not use profiling cookies.
