The law and tax firm Bega & Partners was founded on an idea by Elton Bega.

After working for a long period at a prestigious law firm in Rome, the professional envisioned and built a new legal and tax practice, open to international engagement and, in particular, to the Italian-Albanian context.

The firm operates in Tirana and, through its partners, in Rome.

We strive to be a bridge between these two closely connected realities.

With more than 700 Italian companies operating in the country, Italy is Albania’s leading trade partner (source: “Instituti i Statistikës”, data as of January 2020).

There are over 420,000 Albanian citizens residing in Italy; among them, more than 26,000 acquired Italian citizenship in 2019, confirming the trend, which began in 2015, of Albanians being the largest group acquiring Italian nationality (Istat data, updated January 2021).

These few data points reflect the strong and steadily growing relationship between Italy and Albania.
